Interview to Igor Podrao of Hocnis

Welcome Igor, how are you? I will start this interview is how start you band: Hocnis? and why this name of hocnis? 
I'm fine, I hope you are well too! The band emerged as something unexpected, through a dream of kids wanting to be musicians, insistent boys did not stop until they get on a stage and play a sound heavy. And with time always seeking improvement to take hold, a dream we are doing and that made ??us love and grew increasingly what we do, that it is play. Has no meaning right and was suggested by Glycon, former lead singer and bassist of the band, is a word derived from the Latin word whose meaning "creatures that inhabit the shadows" or "at the end of this." Besides this meaning in Chemistry (periodic table, elements, etc ...), HOCN means the cyclic trimer of cyanic acid. It is a component of bleaches, disinfectants, and herbicides.

Before this interview you told me you are going to release an split album with the bands: Imminent Attack and Puppets From Hell, how born the idea ofrelease an split album with this brazilian bands? and of the same why the label will give the title for this release and not the bands? 
The idea came through an invitation of label Shinigami Rec., from São Paulo, inviting the band to a compilation album that then there would be a vote on the Internet, the bands to be better placed, would have their albums released by the label! We are still talking about it. Is near the launch and there was no yet this conversation, but our idea is to give our name: "Against All" name of a song whose refrain is: metal against all!

How many copies will have this split album? 
The information that I have, will be made approximately 1000 copies, each band will receive 100 cds, the rest are the label. The two bands that participate with us, I know just the Imminent Attack, and we have a good friendship, they are very good and play a sound nervous and quick. Those who buy the album will really like the quality of the bands, I assure it!

Tell me about the concept of the lyrics in hocnis and how do you work in musical composition? 
We put on the disc,all the older music, Members have several particular points when talking about musical taste, we use a little of each member. Me and Luiz Toledo(drummer) we enjoyed a lot of jazz and blues and try to merge it in our style, Canabrava(bassist) already has a passion with metal over 90 years and metal 'breakdown', so let's polishing the sound.

So what is the concept in the lyrics of hocnis? 
The theme is almost the same taste of all: drugs, death and political and social protest, because it is something that went out on the street and we see all the time. There is corruption at all!then it is something that we are always angry and always topic to deal with. Just coming out naturally, when we started writing.

I know you play in other band named: Ex Machina, are you ready for the studio days? and I know you will have special guest members of bands like: Holocausto, and Mutilator thats really cool, who are this special members?
Yes, the recordings begun this month, will be an album with 10 new songs. Exactly, are great musicians and great importance for the Brazilian metal, they are Rodrigo "Führer" Magalhães (Drums / Vocals) "from the band HOLOCAUST and currently CERTO PORCOS, and bassist of legendary band MUTILATOR, Ricardo Costa. Will Have other musicians who not yet confirmed the presence and can not give the name now.

Can you describe how is a show of Hocnis in live? and what are the plans of your band for the future?
Concerts us we like to be face to face with the public and pass them our furya nd show our potential. Always playing fast and heavy as possible without losing the sympathy and humility that we think is essential. We love to see a moshpit destroying (laughs).

Any last words Igor to end this interview?
